A picture is worth a thousand words. Incorporating solid-modeling capability early in the design cycle allows inclusion of layout requirements into initial rotorcraft sizing. Quick turnaround, common data and a simplified interface make status checks of the current design readily available. Combining a rotorcraft sizing computer code, common data, and automation with solid-modeling equates to a shorter design cycle. Linking these tools gives the designer a way to size rotorcraft, visualize the rotorcraft, make layout-driven changes, and assess the resultant vehicle performance. The linkup increases productivity by allowing the designer to readily display and analyze data.
