Entrepreneurism-the spark that lights the fire

摘要

Many new business opportunities have their origin in research work being done inside universities and national laboratories. How can these institutions encourage staff members to commercialize the technology they develop? What factors dampen the entrepreneurial spirit that fosters technology transfer? How can these "internal entrepreneurs" best make the transition from research to marketing? This paper draws observations from specific cases of NASA technology transfer.
