Sliding bearing nonlinear vibration prediction

摘要

This study presents a method for analyzing and predicting the jump phenomena of a sliding bearing. The nonlinear behavior is caused by a discontinuity on the stiffness. These conditions are due to the number of rolling elements in contact and teh backlash along the perpendicular direction of the motion.
