Detailed size distributions of aerosol species and elements during the 1995 summer feld campaign near rome

Four different types of cascade impactors were used to collect size-differentiated aerosol samples during a 1995 summer field campaign near Rome,and the smaples were analysed by particle-induced X-ray emission (PIXE) or ion chromatography (IC).The objectives of th estudy were to examine how the size distribution data for various species and elements,as derived form the four impactor types,compare with each other and to obtain information on hte source proesses and/or surce types of the species and elements.Here,we present and discuss the results from parallel ocllections with two of the four impactor types.
