摘要

Esters and alkoxy esters are the main atmospheric oxidation products of ethers and diethers.both fo with are used as solvents and fuel aditives.Reaction with the hydroxyl radical is the principal fate of these oxygenateed ocmpounds in the troposphere.In this study rate ocnstnats were determined for the reactins of the hydroxyl radical with a series of formates and alkoxy formates.Kinetic data was obtained by both absolute and relative mehtods,and average values were used to calculate the rropospheric lifetimes.the reactivity of esters and alkoxy esters is discussed with reference to the parent ether compounds.
