This paper presents original Sm-Nd isotope data obtained for the first time for ores and their host rocks from the Kholodininskoe stratiform pyrite-polymetallic ore deposit (Baikal Fold region, Eastern Siberia, Russia) and for different metapelites and metabasalts of Olokitsky ore-controlling continental paleorift. Sm-Nd isotope characteristics of rocks and ores together with already known Pb isotope composition in ores points to formation of Riphean stratiform giant ore-deposits under such conditions, which allow contamination of different crustal continental sources with juvenile ones, and among them the leading role belongs to depleted mantle.
