摘要

A new methodology for computation of flows on unstructured meshes is presented. ^By combining the segregated, pressure-based strategy commonly used in incompressible flow solvers with characteristic based upwinded evaluation of fluxes typical of compressible flow algorithms, a general formulation is developed that is applicable at all speeds. ^The incorporation of compressible flow boundary conditions within the pressure correction framework is discussed. ^The segregated strategy permits use of implicit discretizations which in turn allows for the efficient solutions of viscous and turbulence dominated problems that require very small grid scales. ^Results are presented for both incompressible and compressible test problems. ^(Author)
