Self cooling is essential for any SBL system. This paper describes efforts to perform risk reduction activities to include demonstrate Hypersonic Low Temperature (HYLTE) nozzle technology in a configuration traceable and scalable to/for a HYLTE cylindrical gain generator while demonstrating steady state thermal performance via cooling of the module using laser reactants. This nozzle technology will move to test this HYLTE self cooled module while lasing to determine the module's ability to operate at thermal steady state. The resulting data obtains scalable lasing performance and obtain structural data for a HYLTE ring. The focus of the paper is to describe the status of the HYLTE self cooled module.
