THE PHOTOCHEMICAL TRANSFORMATION AT THE SURFACE OF NATURAL AND SYNTHETIC SILICATES INDUCED BY INFRARED LASER RADIATION
The photochemical transformations caused by infrared CO_2 laser radiation at the surface of natural and synthetic silicates have been investigated. It has been established that by laser action on these silicates a photochemical stable line burning with the width of 50 cm~(-1) in infrared reflection spectra just at the frequency of laser action is appeared. It has been establish also, that by laser action on these matters the selective sublimation of silicon oxides and the enrichment of surface by the rest elements take place. It has been found, that all observed phenomena connect with the selective breaking of the strong covalent Si-O bonds induced by resonant laser action.
