Shear horizontal acoustic plate mode (SH-APM) devices offer interesting possibilities to probe liquid or polymer physico-chemical properties. As many parameters can influence their sensi5tivity, our research oh these sensors involves modelling. TGhis was bassed on a "matrix approach", and was carried out with MapleV. In this paper, we study the mass sensitivity o f SH-APModes, in the case of a quartz plate covered by a copper phthalocynamine layer. The influences of geometrical parameters of the device and of the mode number are discussed. Results are compared to the mass sensitivity of SAW devices.
