The surface relief characteristics of bainitic transformation at different temperatures in silicon-bearing steel have been observed with TEM.The relationship between the microstructure and the surface relief has also been studied.It is found that the upper bainite and the lower bainite have similar shear featrue during the initial stage of transformaition.
