On surface modification of metal injection molding parts of SCM415 steel

Surface modificatin of metallic poweer injection molding parts of SCM 415 steel was introduced in the present paper.The results show that the properties of surface modified sintering ocmponent of SCM415 steel produced by metallic powder injection molding are equivalent to those of surface modified melting material.Hardness of Hmv 800 was obatined by carurizatoion treatment followed by quenching,and this value of hardness is equivalent to that after standard carburization treatment of melting material.Harkness more than Hmv 1000 was obatined by nitriding treatment.The possibility of metallic powder injection molding material used as a commercial nitriding material was discovered.
