Experiences in Integrating Meteorological Data Acquisition Automata with a Web Information System and its Application to the travel Industry

摘要

The advances in Web TEchnologies provide simple access to information. We have developed a system to make available, via Internet, meteorological data obtaiend in real time from external sensors. This data mean a strategic resoruce for travel agencies, users planning a holiday, meteorologists and in general anyone interested in it. In this work we describe the technology used (sockets, CGI, ...) and the parts of the built system, as well as its application to the travel industry.
