Photoinductive imaging-for bolt hole corner crack inspection

The photoinductive (PI) imaging method is a relatively new NDE technique that combines eddy current and laser-based thermal wave methods. [1,2] It provides an imaging technqie with microscopic resolution using eddy current sensors. We have applied this technique to characterize corner cracks at the edge of a bolt hole.
