Shear strengthening of prestressed concrete bridge girders using bonded CFRP sheets

The use of heavier trucks demands upgrading of a twenty-nine year old prestressed concrete bridge in Manitoba, Canata. The use of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sheets for shear strengthening could provide a low-cost solution due to a reduction of construction time and traffic interruption.
