摘要

In this paper the specific influence of annual fibre characteristics on composite properties is presented. Due to the composite-like nature of annual fibres their properties strongly differ from those of man-made fibres. The tensile and lateral fibre strengths depend on the degree of fibre opening. Furthermore, tensile strength depends on clamping length. The resulting composite properties are found to be strongly dependent on the specific fibre structure and the degree of fibre opening.
