An Intelligent Network Routing Algorithm by a Genetic Algorithm

This paper present an intelligent adaptive network routing algorithm employing a genetic algorithm. Thegenetic operators we propose create alternative routes based on topological information of the network. By observing communication latency of routes and distributing communication packets among the alternative routes, we can reduce load of links in the network. Through simulation experiments on mean arrival time, we show the effectiveness of the routing algorithm.
