An extended Kalman-Bucy filter and modified Bryson-Frazier smoother have been used for filtration and smoothing of measurements of noisy telemeter signals of the accelerometer and gyro outputs of a flight vehicle. ^A novel aspect of this work is filter tuning based on spectral analysis of the measurements. ^The moment derivatives of the vehicle have been estimated from filtered rate channels using estimation before modeling and a feedforward neural network. ^Very good consistency exists between the aerodynamic coefficients extracted from different flight trials of the same vehicle. ^(Author)
