Abstract: 3D coordinates acquisition and 3D model generation for existing parts or prototypes are the critical techniques in reverse engineering. This paper presents an integrated intelligent inspection system of stereo vision and coordinate measurement machine which is fast, flexible and accurate for reverse engineering. It also emphatically discusses the principle, structure and key technique of the system.!6
