Abstract: An autopilot algorithm that controls a fighter aircraftin simulated aerial combat is presented. A fitnessfunction, whose arguments are the control settings ofthe simulated fighter, is continuously maximized by afuzzied genetic algorithm. Results are presented forone-to-one combat simulated on a personal computer.Generalization to many-to- many combat is discussed. !6
