Investigation of the structural integrity of refinery LPG bullets

At the BP Refinery (Bulwer Is., brisbane, Australia) there was concern ove the structural integrity of eight large LPG vessels. Inspection had revealed shallow defects. The vessels wer econstructted from AS B58A carbon steel, a loose specification which required only a small amount of materials properties quality assurance.
