Two-dimensional failure waves and ignition fronts in premixed combustion

摘要

This paper is a continuation of our work on edge-flames in premixed combusiton.An edge-flame is a two-dimensional structure contstructed from a one-dimenaional ocnfiguration that has tw stable solutions (bistable equilibrium),Edge-flames cna display wavelide behaivor ,advancing as ignition fronts or retreating as failure waves.Here we ocnsidr two one-dimensional coniguratiosn: twin deflagrations in a straining flow generated by th counterflow of rresh streams of mixture; and a single deflagration subject to radiation losses.
