摘要

The history of nuclear engineering in Russia started over 50 years ago. During this period, much experience of the organization and transportation of nuclear fissile materials has been accumulated. The primary fissile materials of concern here are UF_6, U_3O_8, and UO_2 of various enrichments. Until 1986, production manufacturers or consignors were responsible for the safety and transportation of these material. The failure at Chernobyl has brought about the introduction of a more rigid transportation safety system for nuclear materials.
