摘要

EMIR technique is now able to measure the polarisation of EM fields, thanks to highly anisotropic photothennal films. The films and the numerical model used to evaluate their electromagnetic behaviour are described. Based on the use of a model, a thermal optimisation of the sensor, taking into account the amplitude modulation frequency, is presented. The technique is applied to the analysis of the EM field, at 12 GHz, in the vicinity of the end of a wave-guide. Validation is achieved through comparison of the experimental results to theory.
