Abstract: The laser cladding process consists in adding a moltenblown powder to a partially melted substrate, this inorder to change the substrate properties. The aim ofthis paper is to present different experimental set-upassociated with different image processes in order tocharacterize the powder stream in the laser claddingprocess. Information such as the particle speed, thepowder distribution in function of the nozzle distanceare presented. The used algorithms as well as theexperimental set-up are presented and detailed.!14
