First,the equations of motion necessary to calculate the stationary responses of a rotor supported on the nonlinear unsymmetrical metal wire-cable springs under the excitation of unbalance are derived.Then,the vibration attenuation and isolation properties of the rotor system is analyzed on the basis of bilinear hysteresis model of the metal wire-cable springs by means of numerical calculation method,and a law that the dynamic properties of the rotor system changed with the support parameters is reached, which could be used for the design of vertical shaft impact crushers and the similar machines.Thirdly.the result obtained indicates that the unsymmetry degree about 10% of the support parameters is acceptable in practical use.
