摘要

The gear tooth surface modification is an important method to reduce the system's vibration and noise. In this paper, a new gear tooth surface modification curve is studied. Being used as tooth modification curve, line and parabola and sinusoid is very effective to improve the gear transmission system's dynamic performance (low noise and vibration) in some tense. But there is no one curve which is always the best in any working conditions. In one working condition, a gear transmission system of one gear-box was studied. First, the type of optimum profile modification curve is decided according to the working condition; secondly, the parameters of the curve can be decided by the optimizing program; at last, the effect in improving the gear transmission system's dynamic performance is verified by the practical experiment. In this working condition, the sinusoid tooth modification curve is the best compared with the traditional tooth modification curve.
