By experiment analytic we study the automobile engine connecting rods faults, based on the technique ofvibration monitoring, and design the faults simulation and experiment system in this paper.Through the research of the relationship between the engine connecting rods vibration response and changingcharacteristic of the faults, we get the diagnosis parameters which respond to the connecting rods faults from vibrationresponse signal, and find out the criterion about faults condition diagnosis.Based on the regular pattern of the characteristic parameters and fault conditions, a mathematical model is set up and thequantitative diagnosis of the faults of the connecting rods in operating condition is achieved.
