Flow and backmixing behavior of the gas-liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed

Gas-liquid-solid three-phase fluidized beds have been widely used in physical, chemical, petrochemical, electrochemical and biochemical processes. The most important operation mdoe of gas-liquid-solid fluidization is gas-liquid concurrent upward with liqudi as the continuous phase. In the past decades, investigations on this mode were mainly focused on conventional expanded bed regime. Studies on the circulating/fast fluidization regime, howeve,r was considerably lacking.
