In order to discover what role hydropower is playing (or could play) in a competitive electricity supply market, Hydro Review magazine surveyed and interviewed knowledgeable personnel and leaders in the electricity supply industry. We talked with individuals representing federal power producers, investor-owned utilities, nonfederal public agencies, and private non-utilities, who shared their strategies and approaches for maximizing hydro's value in the current approach to electricity supply.
