The Size-resolved Chemical Composition of Natural and Anthropogenic Aerosols at Mace Head, Ireland

Aerosols from both marine and continental sources impact Mace Head, a designated Global Atmospheric Watch remote aerosol smpling site on the western coast of Ireland. The optical and size-resolved chemical properties of these marine and continental aerosols were measured at Mace Head using several instruments including a nine-stage Davis Rotating drum Unit for Monitoring (DRUM) and an Interagency Monitoring of PROtected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) 2.5 mu m particle sampler.
