The method of wet coal slime utilization in pechora basin

Currently an actual problem at the Far Northern preparation facilities is the utilization of wet coal-preparation wastes (coal slimes). For example, about 3 mil tons of coal slimes in dry bulk are contained in the tailing ponds of Vorkuta mines. Theoretical investigations and accumulated practical experience made possible to determine the mecessary measures the utilization methods. There were studied the possibilities of wet coal slimes molding (briquestting, tabletting, and granulation), reprocessing them into organic fertilizers, and also utilization at the local power station as a fuel.
