Planning; Design and Research for Trenchless Utility Installation and Repair

摘要

The growth of trenchless technologies is altering some of the principles on which existing planning and design of utility and pipe conduits have traditionally been based. Adjustments to utility placement guidelines, design for soil-structure interaction, and site investigation procedures are required. Strengthened or new research needs and opportunities in the geotechnical arena as well as in many other fields allied to trenchless technology have developed.
