Performance vs Prediction of Socketed Piles in Rock

摘要

This paper briefly describes the results of pile load tests carried out on 36 piles socketed into a moderately weathered mudstone. The parameters investigated include socket diameter and roughness and expansive cement content in the concrete mix. The results of the field tests are compared with theoretical predictions obtained from the computer program Rocket. Good agreement between field tests and predictions have been obtained.
