Abstract: Experimental laser thrombosis is induced in rat mesenteric microvessels. Temperature increase within irradiated microvessels was calculated on the basis of relatively simple heat transfer model and appeared to be near 50 degrees C above the initial value. This temperature increase decay practically to initial level during the period between two subsequent laser impulses. It is stated that the zone of endothelium thermal damage is less than thrombus length along the vessel wall. !3
