Abstract: The steady fluorescence spectra and fluorescence decay profiles from cancerous human lung tissues in vitro are measured using time-resolved technique. The fluorescence decays could be obtained by least-square fitting based on monoexponential function, with fluorescence lifetime constants of 6.3, 5.6 and 5.1 ns, respectively, corresponding to the normal, squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma tissues. The results show that they decay time of tumor tissue is a bit fast compared to the normal tissue. !9
