Abstract: The paper presented a kind of triangular non-Bravais lattice which constructed from dielectric cylinders in air can open an absolute photonic band gap for common to E and H polarizations. The conditions for the appearances of absolute photonic band gap were discussed, and the potential applications of this lattice were also discussed.!12
