摘要

Antenna diversity is an important technique to combat fading and reduce co-channel interference (CCI). When evaluating the system performance, such as the BER, Monte Carlo simulation is widely used due to the difficulty of analysis. This paper presents the analysis of BER for optimum combining (OC) with two cochannel interferers and maximal ratio combining (MRC) with arbitrary number of interferers. For a DPSK signal, an exact BER expression is derived. The paper also provides an upper bound for BPSK or QAM signals based on results of Foschini and Salz (1983).
