The design and testing of advanced integrated systems, including a Thermal Control System (TCS), is being performed as a part of the Life Support Systems Integration Facility's (LSSIF) Early Human Test initiative at NASA Johnson Space Center. The advnaced technologies provide the essential components necessary to sustain human occupancy in the LSSIF's 6 meter chamber for a 90 day test to verify the performance of the integrated systems. The TCS removes waste heat within the chamber and controls the air temperature and humidity to assure crew comfort during the test by using an advanced high-efficinecy High Lift Heat Pump, developed by Foster-Miller, Inc.
