Space antimicrobial coatings - potential terrestrial applications

摘要

This paper reviews the performance characteristics of an antimicrobial coating family initially developed for a space environment application. Several key characteristics of this coating family offer distinct advantages over many common terrestraial antimicrobial coatings. Potential terrestrail applications for this coating family are now under evaluation and current findings are summarized.
