The central vesstibular pathways must transform three-dimensional (3-D) sensory coordinates to a 3-D oculomotor frame for the stabilization of gaze required for spatial orientation. Multidimensional eye movement analysis is therefore essentiall to accurately assess reflexes which have been traditionally used to examine visual-vestibular function. A Video Ocular Measurement System (VOMS) was develoepd by NASA Which will benefit the diagnostic testing of neuro-otologic disorders and will enhance basic vestibular and oculomotor research.
