Wave Intensity Analysis (WIA) is a relatively new technique for the analysis of high frequency structural vibration. In earlier studies the method has been applied to fairly simple structural geometries; in the present work a methodology is presented for the general computer implementation of the method, which allows the analysis of a wide range of built-up structures. Example results are presented for a satellite-type structure, and a comparison is made with exact results yielded by the dynamic stiffness method.
