摘要

The fuzzy-set modeling of imprecise (material) damping in dynamic finite element analysis is presented in this paper. The damping ratio is considered to be fuzzy due to its inherent imprecision. Rayleigh damping model in the finite element analysis, is used for the fuzzy-set modeling. The results of this fuzzy dynamic finite element analysis are presented in terms of the possibility distributions of the velocity and acceleration. Crisp outputs of these fuzzy distributions can also be obtained using a defuzzification technique.
