In order to develop a better understanding of the Zadeh, Turksen and Sugeno type inference methods, we investigate the performance characteristics of eight reasoning alternatives for comparison of their results from the perspective of precision and execution time. The reasoning precision, the calculation time and the number of valid input cases for reasoning differ according to each reasoning method. The implementation of the reasoning methods for systems modeling should be oriented toward obtaining a good precision, a short calculation time and flexibility to cope with all case data points. However, a different method needs to be used depending on measurement.
