In this paper we predict that there exists an intrinsic upperlimit to the beam energy of an e+e- circularcollider due to the beam-beam effects. The maximum beam energy is givenby E0, max=85.17 √NIP (GeV), where NIP is the number of the interaction points in the ring. It isconcluded that LEP is the only machine on this planet which has thepotential to test the validity of this theoretical prediction byreducing its interaction points to one
