Tapered interface in harsh environment connectors

Standard commercial, or even military, electronic connectorstypically must join two or more electrical conductors with a minimum ofinterference to current flow, a minimum amount of space and cost, andmaximum reliability and ease of operation for the task at hand.Connectors made to operate in high-fluid-pressure or corrosiveenvironments face additional requirements that translate into tradeoffs(price vs. reliability, size vs. ease of operation, etc.). A conicalinterface is presented that provides a significant breakthrough in termsof performance, cost, and ease of operation
