Interactive Part Task Trainer for operations and maintenance training

摘要

An interactive Part Task Trainer (PTT) to support procedural training on a USAF ground control communications satellite program has been developed. The PTT emphasizes cognitive skills and supports training for not only command and control operations, but also hardware maintenance of the ground equipment. The PTT is comprised of authoring tools which define realistic simulations utilizing object based applications, interactive instructional controls, performance feedback, and student record keeping. The first prototype of the PTT was developed, tested and successfully used in an actual training environment.
