How to Master a Media Production in a Multi-Cloud Environment with Social Network Technologies

The Media Production is about to move into theCloud. This has started with specialized tasks such astranscoding. ow more and more steps of the productionchain are running in the cloud. Since there is no cloudprovider offering all functionality the production runs inmultiple cloud applications offered by several cloudproviders. The challenge is now how to master a productionprocess that is distributed across multiple clouds i.e. in a“multi-cloud” environment.The Contribution will present an approach to apply thepower and the features of Social network systems to themodern, cloud-based production business.Technically the paper describes the deep integration of asocial network into a cloud-based Media Asset Management.The messages to the social network are linked directly to therespective object. This enables production staff to follow astory, an EDL or a craft edit instantly and to makecontributions to the work in progress.
