The presented study focuses on structural health monitoring techniques with thefuture goal to predict induced damage and to assess the residual strength of impactedstructure. Herein, the primary problem of impact force reconstruction is investigatedon a square composite plate with nine attached piezoelectric sensors (foil patches) andshunt resistors. The plate is made from carbon textile using RTM technology. Thepatches are glued on the side with even surface in a symmetrical pattern. The plate isimpacted on the same side. The reconstruction is based on deconvolution method andtransfer functions. The efficiency of the proposed approach is tested for all impactlocations used to calibrate the system, and also on several additional locations. Theinterpolation of transfer functions is used to increase the accuracy of thereconstruction.
