摘要

As a multi-disciplinary issue, the physics of indoor stably, thermally stratified flow has been insufficiently investigated, especially when penetrative convection is inhibited by indoor thermal stratification due to wall convection. This paper intends to relate the transient behaviour of indoor stably, thermally stratified flow to the internal gravity waves and give sound explanation for the inhibition of buoyant flow and the development of oscillatory motion, thus fundamentally enriches the dynamics of indoor air flow. Basic thermodynamic proof is presented to confirm the existence of oscillatory motion under indoor stable stratification. Results of this study are expected to help understand the physics of indoor stable stratification and the dynamics of indoor pollutant.
